You can use the online exams to prepare for GPST Stage 2 (with free Stage 1 advice also provided), and then attend our GPST selector-designed Stage 3 course. Why choose the Hammersmith GPST Stage 3 courses?

This course has been designed with only one aim. To provide comprehensive preparation for the GPST selection process. The course is delivered by an experienced GP who has extensive experience of GPST Stage 3 selection and of supervision of GPST registrars. We do not use "portfolio" GP's, GP registrars, retired GP's or anyone else who cannot deliver what you need. Stage 1: The Application Form for Longlisting Advice in the online exams section shows you how to prepare a first class application

Stage 2: Stage 2 Assessments for Shortlisting Online Stage 2 exams - unlimited access to the Clinical Problem Solving and the Professional Dilemma / Situational Judgement Test papers practice questions and answers.

Stage 3: The Stage 3 assessment, the simulated patient encounters in the new format and how you will be scored as well as the other Stage 3 tasks written prioritisation exercises and how we score you. We use examples, role play and repeated practice, all marked and discussed by the Stage 3 GPST course trainer

All through this fully interactive day you will be taking part in realistic, exam-condition simulations, you can ask any questions to the GPST examiner and, unlike some other courses, you can have a quiet word with the experienced GPST selector if you have any personal questions you'd rather not share with others. Venues

The GPST selection courses are normally held at Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Palace Road, W6 8RP, part of the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a spacious facility offering air-conditioned comfort for meetings, with modern audio-visual equipment. Further details will be sent to you upon receipt of your completed application form. The venue will be confirmed by email after you have booked.

The nearest underground (Piccadilly, District) is Hammersmith (see map) or Barons Court (District) a 5-10min walk away. Hammersmith Metropolitan is also nearby on Hammersmith Broadway so it is easy to get to. There are numerous shops and restaurants nearby.

Where to stay?

For good quality affordable accommodation we recommend "Doctor in the House" who specialise in finding Doctors local accommodation for courses and events.

If you wish to stay in a hotel, we recommend the Novotel London West, with two high quality restaurants. The hotel also features WiFi wireless Internet access, a beauty salon, a fitness centre and a pay car park. It is located in Hammersmith Broadway, which is a short walk to Charing Cross Hospital and a 10 minute taxi ride to Hammersmith.
