The course is prepared by an experienced GPST Stage 3 selector, who is also a full time GP and GPST supervisor. The trainer has full insight into the selection process, the entry requirements and the "tips and tricks" needed to be successful. No other course is able to bring a trainer with such a wealth of experience to help you get through the selection process.
The course is fully interactive, with question practice under exam conditions, and all aspects of the Stage 3 process covered by practising written and practical simulation exercises, overseen by the trainer who, having actually marked candidates in real selection, is uniquely able to give personal advice and direction to each attendee.

The Hammersmith GPST courses use the latest materials and selection criteria to comprehensively prepare you for GPST selection process. Why would you choose a course where the information about how you will be scored and selected is inaccurate? We are aware that some of the information being given to candidates on other GPST Preparation courses is precisely that - presumably because those leading the courses have no practical experience of selecting for GPST entry.
The Hammersmith GPST Selection course will start at 9.30am (doors open at 9am). The day will be structured according to the areas of GPST selection with particular emphasis on the areas where candidates tend to let themselves down.
There are several fully interactive sessions including short simulated patient/healthcare professional/family member with real scenarios, practice written exercises, and all will reveal the marking systems used to give you a real advantage and insight into the process on the day. These will be led by the selection-experienced GP (a notable advantage to other courses).
The day is long and intensive, but breaks will give you the opportunity to ask one-to-one questions and reflect on your performance and abilities. Comprehensive course materials will be provided to help maximise your preparation
The Hammersmith GPST Selection course finishes at around 6pm by which time you will be thoroughly prepared to face the Stage 3 GPST selection process with renewed confidence.
